The last of our March shipment was distributed in June. In a recent letter our contact in Samoa explained about one of the most memorable moments when distributing the items:
“On Saturday I took some college students to visit a severely disabled man who can only crawl on the floor and cannot speak. Anyway we gave him some of the toys you sent, especially a quite large plastic train engine. I wish I had a camera as his face lit up and he was so happy to receive this gift. He got very desperate when I went to shake hands to say goodbye as he thought I was going to take the train away from him. I am going to Savaii next Saturday and will take some toys for the school for the disabled there. But most of the gifts have been distributed now. “
