In fall 2006, children from 11 European Union countries, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Holland, Great Britain, Hungary, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Latvia and Finland, made over 1700 gift packages and over 500 drawings for their peers from Bulgarian orphanages.
The distribution of drawings and gift packs took place in the beginning of January 2007 in the presence of the founder of the Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles, Sri Chinmoy. Clothes, toys, sport equipment and shoes were part of the shipment too. Through March 2007, the gift packs were distributed in 11 orphanages in Sofia and Varna.
