In August 2008, Oneness-Heart-Tears and smiles sent their first container from UK to Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania. Contents included over 50 bicycles, 23000 pencils and other school equipment including 24 computers, paints, books and videos.
Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles has always valued the role of toys in the educational development and well-being of children. This has recently been backed-up by research, from Sally Mc Gregor (Institute of Child Health, UK) amongst others. In this container we included 35 boxes of toys for children to play with. Many of these were donated by children in Schools in England.
Kids to Kids packages and drawings were sent from children in England, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
3 boxes of sports gear and a sewing machine were also sent.
