Bosnia and Herzegovina

A personal request was made to Sri Chinmoy in 2001 to obtain growth hormone medication for a nine-year-old boy from a village near Sarajevo who was the size of a three-and-a-half-year-old child. The Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles arranged for the medication to be sent on an ongoing basis from the drug manufacturer in Switzerland to the a Clinic Centre in Sarajevo for the boy's treatment.

A large truckload of pharmaceuticals for a Hospital in Odzak was transported from Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina in April 2004.

Doctor Arthada Platzgummer, who coordinates the humanitarian work of The Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles Austria, arranged for very expensive medical equipment to be sent from a hospital in Vienna to a Hospital in Odzak in Bosnia. An official at the generous hospital became so inspired by Dr. Platzgummer's dedicated work that he offered to drive the truck himself to deliver all the equipment to Bosnia. The same man is also contacting other companies in Austria to get even more medical equipment for the people of Bosnia.
