Medical supplies

From mid-June 2004, The Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles of New Zealand have provided valuable supplies to a hospital and local community organisation, and much needed supplies for Fiji's week long Health Festival, where free medical care is offered to the many residents who would not normally be able to afford to visit a doctor.

Situation in Fiji

Fiji, an island nation in the South Pacific, has a population of more than 800,000. The trend towards migration into urban centers and emigration to other countries has negatively affected society and family structures, caused a rise in unemployment and created a need for greater social services.
